COAST TOUR and STAND UP PADDLING
How to spend a perfect day visiting the coastline?! Here is the guidelines....
We pick you up from your hotel, heading to a hidden beautiful beach next to the green dividing line of Famagusta where during a quick course you learn how to use the stand up paddle. During paddling we are able to float next to an amazing coastline and able to see Varosha from the sea side.
In the early 1970s, Famagusta was the number-one tourist destination in Cyprus. To cater to the increasing number of tourists, many new high-rise buildings and hotels were constructed. During its heyday, Varosha was not only the number-one tourist destination in Cyprus, but between 1970 and 1974, it was one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, and was a favourite destination of celebrities such as Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Raquel Welch, and Brigitte Bardot.
Before the Turkish conquest of Cyprus in 1974, it was the modern tourist area of the city. Its inhabitants fled during the invasion, when it came under Turkish control, and it has remained abandoned and under the occupation of the Turkish Armed Forces ever since. As of 2019, the quarter continues to be uninhabited and is described as a ghost town. Entry is forbidden to the public.
We can get with the paddle as close as the daily sea cruises during their excursions.
Learning to SUP you don't need to have previous experience, be really strong or fit however basic swimming skills required.
It is all about patience and balance.
After spending 2 hrs around this beach paddling, we are on our way to visit the beautiful Sea Caves and Love Bridge. On half way we do a quick stop and climb to the top of the Cape Greco to the actual land's end, which is well worth that short climbing as you will have spectacular view from the top. Continue our trip Sea Caves is the part of the Cape Greco national forest park too and its coastline has several sea caves all the way along the shore. Some of the caves are 50 metres deep into the land. The legend says that pirates used to hide their treasures in these caves. Even nowdays sometimes you can spot treasure hunters getting into the caves hopes for finding them.
This area could be discovered from water side if you join us to our kayak tour. For more info click to seakayak tours.
Love Bridge is a natural bridge which had been created by the sea sculpturing the rocky shore. On this beautiful natural creation thousands of couples gave vows of eternal love.
You have a chance to take plenty of pictures on both spots to your holiday album as the scenery is absolutely amazing.
A short walk from here takes us to the Ayia Napa Sculpture Park. The park idea was to introduce a new form of touristic spot in 2014. It succeeded the expectations. The park includes works by sculptors from around the world. It continues to grow therefore you might have a chance to see some talented artist in action in the park.
We finish the day off on the beach of your choice which could be a hidden beach mainly far from tourist activity or on the well- known of their whole day parties Nissi Beach, which is also called the second biggest party place after Ibiza in Europe.
